Kevin Patterson, DDS, MD

Dr. Patterson has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Colorado since 1998 and is deeply committed to the well-being and oral health of his patients. He has a strong interest in providing care to individuals who may not have access to traditional dental services. He dedicates a significant portion of his time to treating both children and adults through organizations such as Kids in Need of Dentistry, Dental Lifeline Network (formerly the Colorado Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped), and as an annual volunteer with the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM).

Dr. Patterson is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Colorado Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, Colorado Medical Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Patterson earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1983. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989, followed by a General Practice Residency in 1990. From 1992 to 1998, he completed a six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, during which he also earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mayo Medical School in 1996.

Following his residency, Dr. Patterson returned to Colorado to begin his surgical practice and joined the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine as an associate professor in the Department of Surgical Dentistry and the General Practice Residency Program. He currently serves on the University of Colorado School of Dentistry Leadership Council.

Dr. Patterson is a past president of the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and the Colorado Dental Association. He also serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND), the JP Opioid Interaction Awareness Alliance, Dental Lifeline Network, and the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM).

A long-time Colorado resident, Dr. Patterson and his wife, Ann, enjoy making the most of Colorado’s abundant outdoor activities.
